I ran across this tidbit of information and thought I would post it. The French were the first to play with actual cards.
Now I am curious as to how they played bingo before that if there were no cards? Does anyone happen to know?

I tried to find something on this but I wasn't having any luck. I guess I just cannot think of bingo without the numbers on the cards.

I guess with actual numbers on..balls or something? I wouldn't have a clue really! sounds more like a raffle then...

It does sound more like it would have been a raffle. Maybe that is what bingo was considered back then?
