Beginners to bingo are often known as bingo virgins. Being a bingo virgin can be quite nerve racking and a little strange until you get used to the game. Therefore I have prepared this small article to help those new to the game understand it a little better.

Bingo is an easy game to play and also to learn. It won’t take you long to pick the game up and get into the swing of things. It is easier to play online bingo in comparison to paper bingo where you have to keep up with the caller and sometimes they go quite quickly. Online bingo is usually automatic and all you have to do is keep your eye on your card and press the bingo button if you think you have won.
The aim of the game is to complete the game pattern or numbers on your bingo card before anyone else does. When you do complete the pattern you either press the bingo button or if you are not online shout out bingo or house. When playing bingo you can either play for four corners, a line, 2 lines or a full house which is the complete card of numbers.

When playing online you can either choose the cards yourself or let the computer choose them. You can choose any number of cards, but the more you get the more expensive it is likely to be unless you are playing for free.

Sometimes it is difficult to keep up with the caller as numbers are called as the caller can be very quickly but, once you get in to the game it is usually easier. You must mark the numbers quickly and clearly making sure you have marked the correct numbers or you might think you have bingo when you haven’t. Half the fun of playing bingo in a bingo club is the atmosphere and the fact that you have to mark the numbers yourself. It is much more competitive and has a good social atmosphere. Bingo nowadays is not just for Grannies, but for everyone. Long gone are the days when it was just an elderly game even though older people do still like to play bingo. Even men play bingo nowadays.
