The lucky lass of Splott

I remember hearing hearing a story from one of the older players down the Canton Castle about a women who'd always win the snowball games in the old Splott Bingo - apparently she was legendary. I don't know her name.

But it turns out she was cheating, this was in the days before the computers and they had the blowers and the manual check backs. Turns out what she was doing was altering the numbers on her ticket with a black marker to get her down quickly.

If 48 came out, and she had 43, she'd change it to 48 then really heavily cross it out. Apparently she had the snowball so many times she was nick named snowball lil or something. She got away with it for years.

Oh that's quite naughty, to be honest though that's something I used to think about in the older days hehe. Though I think it would have ruined the game totally. And I know if I did it, I so would have been caught - how embarassing that would be!

That is awful, but she really was lucky. Since no one seemed to catch her for a long time.

Makes you wonder how many others might have been getting away with this also. I didn't think there was a way to cheat at bingo but I guess I was wrong.

That is interesting. I wonder if it is actually true. And if it is, did she have to pay back all of the money she won fraudulently ?

I never thought of that either. I wonder if she did have to pay them back. But then again I am not to sure that alot of places keep records of who won and the amount. I bet if they didn't they wish they had now.

That is pretty bad. I think that is the first time I have heard of anyone cheating in bingo. I didnt think it was possible. Have you lot seen this woman who won £1 million on bingo. She is one lucky woman. Also it has beaten the statistics set by mecca millionaire. I wish I was atleast a little bit lucky with my online bingo playing.
