BJ's in Reading

I'm trying to find a location for a group of friends to get together & Reading seems to be central to us all. I wonder if anyone here has played at BJs Luxury Bingo before & can recommend them? They're the only one I can find on yell, but I don't have time to get down there in advance & I don't want to take people there if it's a dive!

Never tried the BJ's I'm afraid. It's a shame they shut the Mecca Bingo in Reading, that was nice and easy to find, it was right above the bus station. It would have been perfect, and if I recall, it had royal patronage as well - Prince William turned up there one night just over a year ago.

Wow, I could not imagine playing bingo with Prince William. Would be a night to remember. I am sorry but I don't know anything about the bingo you are referring to. Hopefully someone on here will know more.

Well I have been to the BjS club and i can recommend it. Its purpose built clean and when i went the staff were very accomodating. There customer care is very good and they gave me lots of mail through the post with money off vouchers and kept me informed of all events going on there.

Plus it was where i won my first regional caller of the year title in 2003!!!!

If you go there tell Bobby the bingo caller that Brett says hi!!!

I remember the Mecca above the bus station. Brings back memories, I used to go there fairly regularly when I was in the area. I really can't imagine Prince William choosing it for a night out though! Perhaps it smartened up a bit after I stopped going!

I live no where near most of the people on this board so have no clue what you all are talking about, but I must say the title to this topic is a bit misleading and when I first read it I was thinking to myself 'HUH?' LOL

LOL, never even dawned on me when I first read it but you're right. I am not to far from Reading. I will have to check this one out sometime. Good luck when you go by the way.

I have a friend in Reading who I haven't spoken to in a while. I don't really know much about BJ's but, I know that Reading is a very nice place and has a lovely area. I could try and get in touch with him to ask, but I think if the bingo place is in Reading it will be nice because it is a posh area.
