I talk to my cat, but that's usually the furthest I will go unless we go to the park to feed the ducks I sometimes talk to them. I always tell my cat how much I love him even though he is still very naughty at times like yesterday when he scratched my daughters face. I was very angry with him, but he has calmed down a lot since he was a kitten. He is still very young so hopefully he will calm down some more as he gets older. Our cat is just a year old and he is still naughty, he has such a big ego. My daughter is at university and has been studying French, she talks to the cat exclusively in French and he seems to understand it just as much as English. Of course being a cat he completely ignores the word 'no' whatever the language!
