We haven't really had enough heat to make me want to think about staying cool. I have just come back from a two week holiday in Cornwall, the weather was mixed but I really enjoyed the beach. In August we usually go to Norfolk, I love it there too but it is very different, Cornwall is rugged but Norfolk is flat. Even on the hottest day there is a breeze by the sea in Norfolk so that is a good place to be when it is hot.
