Art Index - Creative Corner
Do you fancy yourself as a budding Picasso or Damian Hirst? Have you ever been inspired to creativity by your local bingo hall and its residents? Do you feel the urge to make a sculpture using discarded bingo tickets?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you've come to the right place! The Art section of our Creative Corner is dedicated to creative works that have their roots and inception in the world of bingo.
With a strong and vibrant visual culture and a long standing social heritage, the average bingo hall is a ripe in potential for the artistic person. Having spent time sketching and drawing in my old hall, I know this only to well. It's our aim here at Playing Bingo to help in the creation of new art focused on our game, and to give it the ideal home for virtual exhibition, right here.
If you're an artist with a body of work related to bingo, or would like to create some new work to do with the game, we'd love to hear from you. We'd also love to share your work here in our Creative Corner. If you'd like to get in touch, contact the site and we'll see if we can accommodate you or potentially commission you.

Listed below are the pages and work we have here in the Art section. With the help of artists and creative people out there, we hope to add many new galleries and images as time goes on.
- Henry/Bragg Exhibition at the C&C Gallery. - The artist duo Henry/Bragg spent a lot of time travelling around and photographing some of the UK's bingo halls. Here we can see some of the final results of their B.I.N.G.O. project, which is both an interesting display of photographs, and a great social document. Visit
- Henry/Bragg At The London Art Fair - A lot of smiling faces attended the launch of the B.I.N.G.O. exhibition at the London Art Fair. A good collection of photographs of the bingo session in full swing, the caller, and some prize winners. Visit
- Top Rank Gaiety Cardiff Sketches - A collection of rough sketches and preparatory drawings made as an art student by the site's creator David Lloyd. The work was done at the now closed Top Rank Gaiety in City Road, Cardiff. Visit
