VIP Games At Bingo Loopy

Thursday, Apr. 20th 2017 7:54 AM

Bingo Loopy is a name that has been around for quite some time in the world of online bingo. Recently the site underwent a bit of a makeover. Usually a new look for a site consists of a lick of virtual paint only, not for this brand. At this site (and a few others on the IP&S network) it was not a change in aesthetics but a change in software platform.

The site is no longer powered by the Virtue Fusion software but is using the Bede Gaming platform. The change is quite noticeable in the rooms but some of the promotional schedule remains unchanged. Remember, there is still chance to get in on the VIP games action at Bingo Loopy.

New Iceland Bingo Advert A Bit Dull

Thursday, Mar. 30th 2017 7:01 AM

When it comes to advertising any brand on television, the commercial has to catch the attention of the viewer and maintain their interest for it’s duration. A lot of online bingo adverts fall short in our opinion and the latest comes from Iceland Bingo. This brand has been around quite a while, and this is not the first time that they have advertised their wares on television, but the previous commercial was more interesting and at least had some brand / player connection.

The new advert for Iceland Bingo is full of animation but even that’s not very interesting. It consists of the logo, a penny bingo ball, a few words and then the voiceover waxing lyrical about how the site gives away of £4 million a month in prizes. It is worth noting that this is across multiple games, including slots.

Gala Bingo Back With New Advert

Tuesday, Mar. 21st 2017 7:21 AM

Gala Bingo are back on the small screen with a new advert and it’s one that instantly made is wince when we saw it. The reason for this is that having watched it all the way through, our concern was that it was ripe for an investigation from the Advertising Standards Authority under the BCAP Code 17.4.5.

This code is a rule that says gambling adverts must not “be likely to be of particular appeal to under-18s, especially by reflecting or being associated with youth culture”. The whole Gala Bingo advert looks to be set in a circus or a funfair, both of which will hold appeal for youngsters.

Gamble Aware Launch Online Campaign

GambleAware

Gamble Aware
Online Campaign

When it comes to responsible gambling, we have seen many changes in the world of online bingo over the years. As time progresses we see more and more tools made available to players to ensure that they gamble responsibly and in January 2015, the Senet Group launched a TV campaign to further strengthen people’s understanding of gambling responsibly.

Earlier in the year we saw Gamble Aware launch an online campaign called BeGambleAware and in comparison with the Senet Group campaign, BeGambleAware is far more sinister and dark. Often this sort of advertising can be harder hitting and as a result, have a longer last impact on the viewer.

Foxy Bingo

Foxy Bingo And

Gambling Adverts

Gambling Adverts

Adverts for the gambling industry look set to vanish not only from our daytime TV screens but also social media due to fears that they are influencing the young, resulting in gambling problems. Under current rules, adverts are allowed to be shown before the 9pm watershed, but recent figures from the Gambling Commission have shown the number of 18 to 24-year old’s with gambling problems has trebled over the past three years.

Figures from The Advertising Standards Authority show that last month they received a total of 3,395 complaints about 2,301 different adverts. Of these complaints, only 224 (7%) were about betting / gambling adverts. In total 3% of the adverts complained about were betting / gambling related.
