Monday, March 10, 2008Well, it's always nice to see a story that reinforces what I've said here on many occasions, that Bingo is a game men love. Whilst most of the online Bingo world seems hellbent on excluding men from their business, in the real world men in positions of esteem are happy to share their love of the game.
Both the stories of interest come from the world of football. First up, Middlesbrough defender David Wheater has mentioned his love of the game. He met his partner at Bingo, and enjoys a regular game to the point that he's considering opening his own Bingo hall. The second story features Sven Goran Erikkson, who organises regular Bingo nights for the Manchester City team. The article also mentions other famous footballers that are self proclaimed fans of the game - Cristian Ronaldo and Gazza.
Now, imagine the positive message an online Bingo site using a celebrity endorsement from the likes of Cristian Ronaldo. Not only would it be appealing to men, it would also appeal to the ladies. That tied in with a fairly gender neutral colour scheme and site culture would go a long way towards making online Bingo the realm of both sexes. Just an idea like...

I also believe that men love bingo. It's probably because of the women image associated with bingo that made most men hesitant to admit their love for the game.
