Bingo Night Comes To UK TV - Live!

I'm not sure if it's the same as the American and Australian National Bingo Night show, but the UK will shortly be having it's own live Bingo programme on terrestrial TV. Bingo Night Live will be a new, free to play TV show airing on ITV in place of the ITV Play programmes. The format of downloading cards to play at home for free sounds like the international show, but so far there's not a lot of detail.

Not to blow my own trumpet, but last May I mooted it was only a matter of time before ITV would bring this show format to the UK. And it seems I'm right, although I am surprised they've gone for a late night slot, I really believe a prime time slot would be massively popular. It would also give a lot more chance for the game to be seen in the home by all those potential new players who aren't on broadband yet (about 30% of the UK population I believe.) That said, if TV takes off like online for Bingo, it can only be a matter of time before every online Bingo provider also has a TV Bingo channel or programme. I should make a punchline about saturation in the TV market as well, but I'll let that slip. For now.

UPDATE: Bingo Night Live is now on TV. Read the Playing Bingo review of Bingo Night Live here.
