Tuesday, July 31, 2007The National Bingo Game Association has released its annual round up of the luckiest places in Britain when it comes to winning their National Bingo Game. For the third year in a row, the luckiest place in the UK is in Scotland. Glasgow's Mecca Forge club tops this years list having racked up an impressive £618,065 (14 prizes awarded) of National Bingo Game wins.
Those with a good memory will remember that last year the top slot went to Dundee, and the year before Stirling. NBGA spokesman Steve Baldwin said: "We have had 872 big winners over the past 12 months, and they pocketed over £41 million between them. Bingo has a huge following in Scotland so we're delighted to see that they have won the title for the third year in a row."
It's not all bad news for the countries south of the border either. The Gala Lakeside Bingo Club took the award for the single largest prize won on the National Bingo Game. One lucky winner won a massive £453,081 playing the special Mother's Day Game this year. Not a bad prize, even if I say so myself.
