FreeBingo.co.uk Goes International

We've mentioned Free Bingo UK around these parts before now. The site runs a free online Bingo site where players can play for points and win prizes via the site's monthly draws (I won a T-Shirt myself.) The site is a very popular destination for many UK online Bingo players, and as a result has quite a large community around it.

Buoyed by their success, they've developed and launched a new free online Bingo site for players across the pond. The market has suffered recently as a direct result of the US Government's Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcment Act (UIGEA.) Targeting players from the USA and Canada - the new site Live Free Bingo is aiming for the success of the UK's site.

From their press release:

Saturday June 16th 2007 sees the launch of LiveFreeBingo.com, a brand new, free-to-play online bingo site. The site is the first 75-ball bingo site to launch in the last 12 months, filling the void created by other free play sites leaving the market.

The online gaming market has been in a downward spin since the announcement of the draconian UIGEA in September last year but now there's something to cheer about for the online bingo market.

LiveFreeBingo.com will offer totally free-to-play 75-ball and UK-style 90-ball bingo games across a range of bingo rooms, 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. Targeting US and Canadian bingo players, users will play with the site's very own currency known as 'Free Bingo Dollars' (FB$s). Players will also be able to earn extra FB$s by submitting pictures to the Players Gallery, recommending friends, writing letters, sending recipes and winning Chat Games.

At the end of each month, a Prize Draw will take place and every FB$ that a player has in their account will be exchanged for one entry into the draw. Players will then be in with a chance to win fantastic bingo prizes including funded accounts at pay sites, t-shirts, bingo merchandise and much, much more. "American and Canadian online bingo players have been crying out for a new, free bingo site for a long time. We can now offer them excitement, entertainment and the chance to win great prizes.at no cost at all," said WayneH, manager at LiveFreeBingo.com.

We'd like to take this opportunity to wish them luck. You never know, if they're offering the UK 90 ball version of the game, they might be able to get a few Americans playing proper Bingo. ;)
