Bingo Winner Gets Compensation

This one should prove a warning tale to any Bingo players out there who are lucky enough to get a big win. Back in 2000, Karen Bryson won a massive £103,247.79 on the National Game. She agreed to give half to her partner for a share in his house. Unfortunately it all fell through, and the money was all spent, Karen ended up splitting with her partner and paying rent for the house she had been promised a half for.

After going through the courts, she's been awarded £27,880 in compensation after not getting her share of the property. There's a lesson in there for any Bingo players who are lucky enough to take the big one. If you're going to do something like Karen did, get it all on paper and sorted out legally - don't get yourself into the the same situation.
