Electronic Cards On The Cards For Mecca Bingo

Mecca already has the one all electric Bingo hill, but now it's looking to trial the technology in more halls. There's news from the makers of the cards, Electronic Game Cards Inc. that they're supplying Mecca with a lot more of them. Read the press release here [38k PDF]I'm wondering how long it's going to be before there's waterproof versions available for those disappearing outside?

These terminals could go some way to demystifying the game for new players and after seeing the mix at Mecca's all electronic hall on the Money Programme last Friday, could be just the ticket for attracting that new audience. I still think that the chains are missing a trick for the smokers. There's no sign of them implementing any sort of follow through for the game on mobile phones - but the opportunities are there waiting to be taken.
