200 Job Losses For Mecca Bingo

The oncoming smoking ban and decling position of Rank as a Bingo giant will see 200 jobs going across the UK in the Mecca Bingo chain. The 200 job losses are a premptive cut to ofset the UK wide smoking ban that will be coming into effect next year.

Once again, I have to moan about the Bingo industries inability to turn this positive law into positive business. As the UK wide ban comes closer, I'm yet to see any initatives from the big chains to attract a new audience that doesn't just simply rely on barely servicable advertising. It's a shame people will be losing their jobs due to this lack of action from the chains. Read More...
