Scottish Bingo Halls Close Following Smoking Ban

Now, we've been following the effects of the smoking ban in Scotland, with some clubs supposedly benefitting, whilst others have suffered many losses. News has emerged now that a number of clubs have been forced to close, as punters arrive later, go outside in the intervals and leave earlier. So far five clubs have shut. Read More...

Now, I've made my opinions about this well known on the blog. It's a perfect example of companies failing to attract a new audience. It's not an imaginary audience either, in my experience there are many who would love to try out Bingo - male and females. There's a lot of ingrained expectations about the Bingo world. This smoking ban could, and really should be a great opportunity for Bingo companies to shed some of these images. It's happening in the online world, and if the real world companies move quick, they can appeal to a whole new audience.
