Coral Bingo is a brand that have been around for quite some time (it first appeared in October 2012) but for a long time, the bingo side of things always seemed to feel like the poor relation in comparison to the casino, sportsbook and poker. A recent lick of virtual paint at the site and a few changes mean that the bingo offering no longer appears to be wearing hand me downs. To complement the new look and feel there is also a TV marketing campaign, a commercial that introduces bingo players to Carly and Farley.
Carly (Baker) and (Darren) Farley are the stars of the 30 second Coral Bingo commercial and it is one that is filmed on an open top bus. Farley plays the tour guide whilst Carly is a passenger on the bus happily playing on her tablet.
As the bus drives through the town, Farley points out ‘landmarks’ and these relate to various bingo calls:
- Cock and Hen – the number 10
- Golden Gate – the number 8
- Burlington Bertie – the number 30
- Time for Tea – the number 83
It is at this point that Carly calls bingo and then we are shown the welcome offer available from Coral Bingo for new players. It’s an interesting advert, and probably one that Carly and Farley fans will love. For us though, we didn’t have a clue who they were until we did a little bit of research.
