When Paddy Bingo first launched on the 15 Network there were many that felt that brand were really pushing their lucky with the name. Paddy Power Bingo were already a well established brand we were obviously going to take umbrage. The owner must have known this at the point of launch but went ahead anyway probably with the belief that you cannot copyright a term like Paddy which is likely true. However, what they may have failed to take into consideration was the depth of the Paddy Power pockets and that it was highly unlikely that they were going to take things lying down.
Whilst we are not party to any hard evidence of this being the case and our opinion is one that is speculative, the fact the Paddy Bingo has now rebranded to Clover Bingo would suggest we are not too far off the mark.
A visit to the Paddy Bingo domain now sees the site offer little explanation as to the reason for the move. Instead there are details of the free £5 bonus that will be in your account if you were an existing customer and the chance to get a 200% bonus for a £10 deposit of you use the code 4LEAF.
All that has actually changed is the brand name; the logo, the games, the bonuses, the promotions and the overall aesthetic is just the same as it was previously. Players who had accounts with the old site can use their details (username and password) to login to Clover Bingo, there is no requirement to re-register to play at the new site.
As a footnote we would like to point out that whilst the site has been re-branded with the new name, as yet the affiliate banners with which we promote the site have yet to be changed.
